The performances of the theatrical play Mamma Mia-Christmas Edition were crowned with absolute success, from which a portion of the proceeds was allocated to support the 'Become Human' charity.
On Saturday, December 10th, and Sunday, December 11th, 2022, at 21:00, the performances of the theatrical play Mamma Mia-Christmas Edition took place at the premises of the Philoproodos Ymittos Club, under the supervision of Ms. Lila Gerolymatou, the dance group instructor of the F.O.Y. It was held in memory of the unjustly lost Carolain and other victims of femicides. A portion of the proceeds from the performance was allocated to support the non-profit organization 'Become Human.
The event was attended by Ms. Kelly Ioannou, Founder of 'Become Human' and Director of the International Institute for Cybersecurity, Lecturer in Criminology and Forensic Psychology at ICPS College and UCLAN University, specializing in digital criminology. Also present were the Mayor of Dafni-Ymittos, Anastasios Ath. Biniskos, Deputy Mayor for Political Equality, Combating Discrimination and Gender-based Violence, Ms. Anna Rokofyllou, and other honorary guests.
In an atmosphere of emotion, Ms. Ioannou spoke about the inspiration behind 'Become Human', which has taken shape and become a reality in the past two years through the love and support of people. She also mentioned her personal friendship with Garryfallia Psarrakou, a young woman unjustly lost in the most brutal way at the hands of her partner. Garyfallia became a milestone in launching the 'Become Human' campaign.
Then, Ms. Ioannou allowed us to see the events through the eyes of the victims, to recognize the pathologies of our society, while emphasizing the importance of the work that is being done to bring justice to all these women and put an end to stereotypical perceptions and violence.
We warmly thank the Philoproodos Ymittos Club, Ms. Lila Gerolymatou, and their dance group for their exceptional philanthropic work and contribution to 'Become Human'. We also express our gratitude to the honorary guests and the audience who eagerly embraced this endeavor. In conclusion, we would like to thank Ms. Anna Rokofyllou for her tangible support through her presence and work, contributing to making the vision of 'Become Human' a reality.
